A Python Journey

Between 2016 and 2017 I’ve been on an intense season working with Python as analyst, instructor, data journalist (analysis and visualisations, or course. Not writing). I could test how great is this language in several scenarios, from simple data cleaning using Pandas, to complex analysis having satellite images as data input.

The curious part is that Python as also helped me to improve my JavaScript skills. Let me explain: as Python is amazing for readability, I could understand better the theoretical part of programming like more advanced functions or objects, for example.

Now I’m starting my journey of mixing my data analysis skills with all the computer graphic power of D3. Here an experiment using Python to do all the heavy data lifting to produce a Flare type format, to then, feed this visualization. Soon more news about this Python+D3 stack process.
